my first class
today i've attended my first research skill training session as a PhD student
not bad!
i am starting to like this back-to-school whole thing!
being a student in sumwhere far from your country and with sumthing new to learn plus with the new environment, new people
it makes me so excited!
hopefully i'll keep my spirit from the first till the end of my 6th terms afterwards! insyaAllah
my training schedule weren't tight anyway
only 1-2 classes per week
and the rest, i'll spent mostly for my mushroom sampling and database lah!
well..
good news, i might going to be a demonstrator for mr sv's class
maybe this term, or maybe next term
it's going to be a new experience for me
plus receiving pocket money for hours spent teaching and guiding undergraduate students
how thrilled is that!

qila u also required to attend class ek for phd?
May i know what system they use?Macam u still need to complete ur thesis. then ada viva jugak tak?
Class plak berapa jam kena complete for the whole phd programme? i tengah survey tempat ni.. Qila it would be a very nice of u if qila boleh story sket sistem phd kat uk particularly. It would help people a lot.TQ dear

hye mai! yeah, it would be my pleasure to explain to u.. untuk phd, sistem kat sini lebih kurang macam sistem di UKM..saya pena amik MSc kat sana.. phd di sini kene attend training programme yang diorganize oleh pihak school dan juga research skill programmes organized by graduate school. untuk graduate school, kite kene attend at least 5 courses dalam 1 tahun (2 terms).it's compulsary for everybody. kat tempat saya ni, every 3-4 months ade progress report ngan sv dan advisor masing2.. well..kat sini, tahun pertama kite akan diclassified sebagai student MPhil walaupun pada dasarnya kite amik phd.kat sini ada proses panggil upgrading to phd..kalau sv dan advisor puas hati within a year or less, barula status kite betul2 phd. yeah, sini ada viva. it' for the last stage towards getting ur phd. am i answering ur q's? do not hesitate to ask me for more ya?
Great explainations really. Im looking for a place. Got a positive feedback from one of Uni at USA. Tapi might prefer somewhere in Aussie. So sistem kat aussie la yang quite differ sebab sistem yang Qila cerita lebih kurang je sama macam kat US. Kat Aussie takde viva rasanya. Urm everything depending on thesis writing.
